PlayStation uploads hidden ‘PS5 Pro’ YouTube video and here’s how you can watch it

A HIDDEN YouTube video on PlayStation’s official channel suggests that the PS5 Pro will be revealed today.

The video appeared online after a number of different clues already pointed to the enhanced console’s official reveal.

A drawing reportedly based on the PS5 Pro’s final design document was spread online, showing a vertical console with three lines around the centre and no disc drive.

The same design was later seen in a promotional image posted by PlayStation to celebrate the original console’s 30th anniversary.

This three-stripe shell is not part of any current PS5 model design, or part of any design for PlayStation’s official face plates.

Shortly after this promotional image was released, PlayStation announced that there would be a nine-minute ‘Technical Presentation’ focusing on the future of PS5 hardware.

People already suspected that this Technical Presentation is where the PS5 Pro would be revealed, but now there is further evidence.

An unlisted video on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel featured a 12-second teaser for the upcoming technical presentation.

However, the original title of the video was simply ‘PS5 Pro’ before it was changed to ‘PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation – September 10’.

An unlisted video is different from a private video in that it is still available on YouTube for anyone to view as long as they have the link.

It is likely that the title PS5 Pro was a placeholder title that was supposed to be changed before the link was given out.

However, the video was released before the name was changed and screenshots of the old title circulated online.

People didn’t feel they needed further proof that the presentation would announce the PS5 Pro but this all but confirms the intention of the showcase.

The presentation will go live today (Tuesday, September 10, 2024), at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST.

It is only nine minutes long but it will be available as a VOD after the presentation has finished.

We expect that the PS5 Pro will be officially revealed, including its design, release date, and pricing.

Hardware specifications should also be revealed and there will likely be a blog to follow with more details on the upcoming console.
