I got Turkey teeth a year ago & they’re so wonky I look like I’ve got 3 three front gnashers – take my hell as a warning
A WOMAN who had her teeth done in Turkey has shared a video warning others not to make the same mistake.
Keisha-Louise explained that she had been assured by the company that they could “a trillion per cent” straighten her “crooked” teeth.
They then said they could fit her in straight away, which meant that she didn’t have any “breathing time” before booking it in.
“I was originally going over there for veneers, but someone told me don’t get them because they ping off,” she said in the TikTok video.
“So I went for crowns.”
When she got there, they “got on with it straight away”, and fitted her teeth but they “weren’t straight”.
“I was fuming,” she admitted.
“I said, ‘You told me they’d be straight’ but then they were in denial and they said ‘no we didn’t, no we didn’t!’
“There’s one reason why not to because they just lie!”
Keisha-Louise added that even after “all the money” she paid out for the teeth, they were left chipped and wonky, so is planning to go back to get them fixed.
But she said the company kept “changing dates”, before emailing her an offer for laminate veneers – adding salt in the wound.
“Love, I’ve got my teeth completely shaved down underneath,” she raged.
“Why would I want laminate veneers when I’ve got crowns?
“Do you see what I mean?
“How easily confused they get?!”
And now her “hell” continues as she’s got to pay to fly over to Turkey and stay there while they don’t “even have a bloody clue what they’re doing”.
“Here is the sign,” she concluded.
“Do your research – don’t just pick the first place!”
Dentist-approved teeth whitening tips
ERIN Fraundorf, DMD, MSD, owner of BOCA Orthodontic + Whitening Studio in Missouri, shared her top tips for whiter teeth.
Seek whitening treatment from a professional. It’s often stronger and will be the most effective so you don’t waste your money on a product that doesn’t work or may harm you. You also only get one set of teeth, so it’s best not to experiment on them.
Consider the cause of the staining. There are numerous causes for teeth to have a yellow or brown tint. Be sure to get evaluated and diagnosed by a professional to ensure you receive the best treatment for your stains. Not all stains are the same so they may require different treatments.
Consider your lifestyle, smile goals, and budget. When choosing a whitening treatment that is best for you, consider multiple factors when designing a custom plan. Some people like homework to whiten at home, some prefer in-office treatments only, some need to get really bright really fast — for a wedding, for example — whereas others would like a more gentle, gradual, consistent approach to whitening.
Ease into it. Start integrating teeth whitening into your routine gradually to get your teeth accustomed to it and you can closely monitor your level of sensitivity to regulate how frequently you can whiten.
Try to prevent. Make tiny changes to your lifestyle in an effort to prevent staining from penetrating your teeth. For example, sip staining beverages through a straw, swish with plain water after drinking anything staining, and pick flat water over sparkling whenever possible.
Water floss to help in between the teeth stains. Blast away stubborn stains in between your teeth with a water flosser, because toothbrush bristles can only reach so much of your tooth surface.
And the comments section was almost immediately filled with people weighing in, with one writing: “It looks like you have 3 front teeth?”
“They’ve given you 3 bunny teeth!” another added.
“Where is your midline? It looks off?” a third said.
As someone else agreed, writing: “I think this every time I watch her .. her front two don’t look like front two??”
“Literally, it stresses me out looking at it,” another wrote.
“Did you ever consider getting braces and then composite bonding?” someone else asked.
“That’s what I’ve had – it takes a while, but the results from edge bonding are insane.”
“I’ve had my teeth shaved down now,” Keisha-Louise replied.
“Shaving teeth scares the life out of me,” another admitted.
As Keisha-Louise concluded: “Wish I never done it to be fair, for the headache I’ve had.”
