Now her followers suspect Ruth, also 64, is struggling to conceal her heartache before her host of telly roles.
One took to X to comment: “You can tell that Ruth has been hurting from the pictures of Eamonn with her younger blondie, Ruth looks like she has been crying as her eyes looks puffed up.”
Another wrote: “Cannot be easy for Ruth when Eamonn features in most newspapers.”
A third then quipped: “I can’t wait to see Ruth’s new boyfriend.”
The comments came after Ruth was seen filming a new Instagram video wearing a smart green blazer.
Yet eagle-eyed viewers were quick to notice she was still wearing her wedding ring.
This week, a source told Mail Online that Eamonn’s public holiday with his new girlfriend – which saw him arrive at the airport with his crutches and walker – has left Ruth “shocked”.
The insider told the publication: “Ruth is shocked by how open Eamonn is being about his relationship, after all they both still have their wedding rings on.
“Neither of them want to be the first to take it off because they don’t want to look like they’re to blame for the split.”
The former TV couple shocked fans when they announced that they had split back in May, and were planning to divorce after going in “different directions.”
Fans thought they had pinpointed the signs of their break-up, which included a lack of social media snaps together.
Revealing their split after 14 years in an exclusive statement to The Sun on Sunday, their spokesperson said: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
