American, Colorado State, North Texas and UNLV pick up class of 2025 commitments over weekend

Several class of 2025 prospects made their final college decisions this past weekend. ZAGSBLOG is here to break it down:

American picks up guard Kamran Prince

Prince — the 6-foot-2 guard from Trinity Academy (NC) and the Team Curry UAA program — made his commitment to American on Sunday, Sept. 8. Prince had a solid summer with the Team Curry program and posted a 24 point game at On the Radar Hoops Summer Jam. His highlights can be found here.

Colorado State secures three-star point guard JoJo McIver

McIver — the 6-foot-2, 165-pound point guard from Ellison (TX) and the Drive Nation EYBL AAU program — becomes the second commit in the Rams’ 2025 class. He join stretch big Docker Tedeschi.

At Peach Jam, McIver posted 8.0 points and 2.2 assists while playing 21.8 minutes per contest. He’s known for his defensive prowess.

Top-125 prospect Tyrin Jones chooses UNLV

Jones — the four-star small forward from Layton Christian Academy (UT) and the Utah Prospects Adidas 3SSB AAU program — chose UNLV fresh off his official visit. He’s the first commit in UNLV’s 2025 class.

Three-star power forward Deandre Thomas pledges to North Texas

Thomas — the 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward from Allen (TX) and the Southern Assault Adidas 3SSB AAU program — pledged to North Texas on Sunday, Sept. 8. He’s the first commit for North Texas in 2025.

Thomas is ranked the No. 59 overall forward by 247Sports. You can find some of his summer highlights here.
