ALC Hosts First Blood Drive of the Fall Semester
by Micah Turner, ALC Student Writer
Alice Lloyd College’s Student Government Association (SGA) hosts two blood drives each semester during the academic year. SGA officers hosted the Kentucky Blood Center in Cushing Hall on Friday, September 6th, where thirty-six students, faculty, and staff came out to donate to the cause.
SGA is pleased to report that thirty-five pints of blood were donated during last week’s drive. SGA is grateful for the campus’s participation in the event and appreciates all who donated. The next blood drive at Alice Lloyd College will take place on Thursday, November 14th. ALC student and SGA junior representative Allison Hanlon volunteered during the event. When asked about the blood drive, Allison said, “It makes me so happy to see our student body come together and support a wonderful cause. I am proud to be a part of the Eagle family.” The next blood drive is scheduled for November 14th, 2024, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm in Cushing Hall. You can schedule your appointment here.
