New bakery opens in downtown Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Downtown Albany has a new bakery. Fat Boy's Sugar Shack officially opened its doors in August.
Fat Boy's Sugar Shack is owned by Anthony Coleman. The bakery sells cheesecakes, banana pudding, bundt cakes, parfaits, cookies, brownies and more.
According to the Fat Boy's Sugar Shack Instagram page, actress Phylicia Rashad stopped by the shop on one of its first days open. Rashad has a role in "The Gilded Age" season 3, which filmed in the Capital Region over the summer.
Fat Boy's Sugar Shack is located at 61 North Pearl Street, but the entrance is on Steuben Street. The bakery is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
