Heavy rains wreak havoc in southern Odisha

Heavy rains caused by a deep depression have led to washed-away roads, disrupted power supply, and inundated areas in southern Odisha. Districts like Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam are affected. Schools were shut in Malkangiri, Koraput, and Ganjam. Rescue operations are underway with ODRAF, NDRF, and Odisha Fire Service deployed.
