Stock Market Live Updates September 10, 2024: Sensex, Nifty hold steady ahead of release key economic data; media, IT indices lead gains

Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty, which opened Tuesday’s session in weakly positive territory, traded in a tight band at midsession. At 11:37 am, Sensex was at 81,758.62, up 199.08 points or 0.24 per cent. Nifty was at 24,988, up 52 points or 0.2 per cent.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Divi’s Lab (up 3.47 per cent), LTIM (2.83 per cent), Power Grid (1.43 per cent), Infosys (1.34 per cent) and Axis Bank (1.32 per cent). The laggards were HDFC life (down 3.51 per cent), SBI Life (2.03 per cent), Bajaj Finance (2.03 per cent), Shriram Finance (1.99 per cent) and Bajaj FinServ (1.95 per cent).

The Nifty Media and IT indices were the top performers on the index.
