Heavy rain in Odisha, 560 villages affected in Malkangiri and Koraput districts

The flood situation in southern Odisha, especially in Koraput and Malkangiri, has worsened due to continuous heavy rainfall. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has appointed senior officials to monitor the crisis. Over 1700 people have been evacuated, and six ODRAF teams are conducting rescue operations. A red alert has been issued for several districts.
