The Supreme Court’s recent decision to deny Oklahoma access to federal Title X funding is a disturbing move that highlights the Biden-Harris administration’s extreme abortion agenda.

Oklahoma, a state committed to protecting innocent human Life, implemented Pro-Life laws that rightly prevent abortion referrals within their healthcare services. But rather than respecting the will of the people of Oklahoma, the Biden-Harris administration took this as an opportunity to weaponize federal funding, demanding compliance with their abortion-driven agenda or financial punishment.

The Supreme Court, unfortunately, sided with the Biden-Harris administration, leaving Oklahoma stripped of vital family assistance funding that supports low-income families. This decision marks a dangerous precedent for other Pro-Life states, as it shows how the federal government is willing to prioritize abortion access over women’s actual healthcare needs.

Title X funding is a federal program designed to provide comprehensive family planning and preventative health services, including birth control, cancer screenings, and pregnancy health care to low-income individuals and families. However, under the Biden-Harris administration, access to these funds is being tied to the promotion of abortion, forcing states like Oklahoma, which refuses to offer abortion referrals, to forgo essential healthcare support.

This situation is especially disheartening considering the Hyde Amendment’s long-standing promise to protect taxpayer dollars from funding abortions. The Biden-Harris administration is playing fast and loose with the law by withholding funds from states that refuse to promote abortion. The Left’s hypocrisy is glaring here—they claim to stand for women’s health, but only when preborn children’s lives are on the line with abortion.

Texas faced a similar battle after the regular session of the 87th legislature in 2021. Lawmakers worked diligently to extend postpartum Medicaid coverage from two to six months, recognizing that new mothers often need extended medical support. But the Biden-Harris administration refused to help women unless it furthered their pro-abortion goals. This is what the Left’s so-called “care” for women looks like—healthcare withheld unless it comes packaged with abortion advocacy.

By celebrating the SCOTUS ruling, abortion advocates have shown their true colors. The Left is not about supporting women’s health; they are about pushing abortion at every possible turn, even when it comes at the expense of helping mothers and babies. The Democratic-led administration is actively punishing states like Oklahoma and Texas for daring to protect Life. Meanwhile, they are turning a blind eye to the needs of low-income women and new mothers who deserve real care, not an abortion agenda.

Pro-Life states must continue to stand strong, despite these federal overreaches. Oklahoma’s loss is a reminder of the uphill battle we face. But it also reinforces the importance of defending the preborn and standing firm against a government that seeks to enforce abortion at all costs. The Pro-Life movement will not back down, and we must fight to ensure that every Life is valued—born and unborn.
