WATCH: Heroic Karnataka Schoolgirl Lifts Toppled Auto To Rescue Mother Trapped Underneath; Video Is Viral

Karnataka Viral Video: In a heartwarming example of bravery and quick thinking, a minor schoolgirl in Karnataka’s Mangalore helped lift an overturned auto-rickshaw to rescue her mother who was trapped underneath the three-wheeler when it turned turtle after hitting the 35-year-old woman.

The dramatic rescue was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the area and the footage has gone viral on social media platforms.

In the viral clip, Chetana, 35, is seen being hit by an auto-rickshaw while she was on her way to pick up her daughter from tuition. The impact overturned the auto-rickshaw, crushing the woman, a resident of Rajaratnapura, underneath. Witnessing the crash, Chetana’s teenage daughter ran towards the scene and helped lift up the three-wheeler with some help from other people.

According to reports, the incident took place in Kinnigoli area on the outskirts of Mangalore city when Chetana was on her way to pick up her daughter from a tuition center. While crossing the road, an auto-rickshaw collided with Chetana, causing it to overturn, trapping her, the auto driver and another passenger, underneath.

However, the schoolgirl’s quick-thinking and heroism saved her mother and two others from a possibly fatal situation, earning praise and admiration from netizens on social media.

Police said Chetana received grievous injuries in the accident and is recovering at a hospital. The auto-driver and the passenger also sustained minor injuries.
