Graham Norton reveals which A-listers attended his wedding as he tied knot with long-term partner at age 60

When Graham Norton finally got married two years ago he was nudging 60 – and he says it couldn’t have been a better time of life to do it.

The Irishman, whose chat show is returning soon, says he was just surprised he finally took the plunge at all.

Talking at the Peacock Theatre, London, on the first night of his book tour he recalled the day he tied the knot with long term partner, Jonathan McLeod.

Graham said: “I don’t talk much about my personal life but the big headline is now I am a married man.

“I’m surprised. I did not see that happening in my life. I am glad I waited. It is quite nice to get married at my stage in life.

“There are perks, like the vows. At my age ‘til death do us part’ is more achievable. I have got things in my fridge that will outlast me.”

They wed in Bandon, West Cork, where Graham was raised, and due to his fame and celebrity connections it sent the rumour mill into overdrive.

He said: “We got married but every f*cker in Bandon knew.

“You can imagine the rumour mill. I talk to celebrities for a living but I know practically none. People in Bantry said they saw Lady Gaga at Cork Airport, Elton John was seen in the local pub.

“Imagine being the man and somebody mistook you for Elton John. That is a cruel day.”

If we want to see Graham’s celeb pals, it turns out we just need to tune in to BBC One over the coming weeks.

He said: “We are back with the chat show at the end of the month. I don’t say who the guests are as it will jinx it but we have some big stars.”

Tamzin Outhwaite in new Channel 5 drama Wives, which airs on 16 September[/caption]

Tamzin Outhwaite looks all loved up as she heads out on a steamy date in new series The Wives.

The drama will see her character – recently divorced Sylvie – heading out to meet Louis Boyer’s Luca after jetting to Malta with her three sisters-in-law’s.

The series follows the lives of Sylvie, Natasha, Beth, and Annabelle as things start to unravel over one strange summer, with the arrival of a new woman.

But it’s not all romance for long, as the newcomer is quick to ruffle feathers.

The problem? She looks exactly like Annabelle, who passed away before the trip, and is now dating her widower Charlie, kick-starting a chain of events of something more at play.

But the women will have corrupt officials, drug cartels and criminals to face before finding the truth. The Wives airs September 16 at 9pm on Channel 5.

Brassic is making its return to Sky for a sixth series.

The next instalment of the comedy, with Michelle Keegan and Joseph Gilgun, sees the gang tackle man-eating crocodiles, naked cults and terrible spray tans.

The episodes will be available to stream on September 26.

AJ Odudu joins Vernon Kay to host M&S: Dress The Nation, but admits she has sometimes put herself through hell wearing clothes that are too tight[/caption]

AJ Odudu may be hosting a new ITV series all about clothes – but she had her share of fashion struggles.

The TV star – who joins Vernon Kay to host M&S: Dress The Nation, where designer hopefuls battle it out for a store contract – admits she has sometimes put herself through hell wearing clothes that are too tight.

AJ said: “Red carpets are my fashion hell, but the outfits have me in a chokehold.

“I insist on wearing the sample size and the material may be scratching me, but as long as I look snatched, that’s the main thing. It’s a no pain, no gain policy.

“I went to a premiere and I got a two-piece, which was yellow and chequered. It was giving off Clueless meets Bananaman. What was I thinking?”

  • M&S: Dress The Nation airs from September 17 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Coppafeel founder Kris Hallenga will be the focus of a new BBC documentary.

The philanthropist passed away earlier this year after battling aggressive breast cancer for 15 years, with the new film released to celebrate her life and legacy.

It will air on BBC Two and iPlayer in October.
