Domino's Responds to Shrinking Portions With Inflation-Themed Pizza Deal
Amidst the global epidemic of shrinkflation, which has seen inflated fast food prices and dwindling portions, Domino’s has responded by instituting a new, limited-time value deal.
Beginning Sept. 9 and running until Sept. 29, Domino’s customers placing online orders can take advantage of the chain’s MOREflation deal. The promotion allows you to mix two or more medium two-topping pizzas for just $6.99 each, part of the chain’s famous mix-and-match deal. But, in a fresh twist, you can upgrade one of the medium pies to a large for free, no strings attached.
"As a response to high inflation, many companies are shrinking products to avoid raising prices," Joe Jordan, Domino's president of U.S. and global services, said in a press release. "We understand that consumers are looking for great-tasting, affordable meal options. That's why we've taken our biggest and best offer—our mix-and-match deal—and made it even better by giving customers more pizza for the same price."
“We're constantly looking at innovative ways we can provide value,” Jordan added, citing the chain’s Emergency Pizza initiative as one of its many revolutions.
You can choose from Domino’s Hand Tossed, Thin Crust, or New York Style Crust for your upgraded large pizza, and may customize it to your satisfaction. To take advantage of the bargain, you can head over to Domino’s website or the app between today and Sept. 29. Select the MOREflation offer to place your order and the coupon will be applied at checkout.
