(KLFY) -- With Tropical Storm Francine bearing down on the Louisiana coast, scheduled events are being canceled or postponed in anticipation of landfall on Wednesday. Here is a list of event cancellations recieved by KLFY.
Lafayette Parish
- All public schools in Lafayette Parish will dismiss early on Tuesday, and be closed Wednesday and Thursday.
- Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy and Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy will release early Tuesday. Middle school and high school students will be released 11:30 a.m., elementary students release at 12:30 p.m. Both schools will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.
- Annual 9/11 Meal of Remembrance, scheduled for Wednesday at Parc Sans Souci in Lafayette, is canceled.
- The Lafayette Parish School Board meeting to consider levying additional or increased millage rates scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Acadia Parish
- All public schools in Acadia Parish will dismiss early Tuesday at noon, and be closed on Wednesday.
- The Agriculture Symposium by LSU Eunice scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13 has been postponed. No new date has been set for the symposium.
Iberia Parish
- Iberia Parish Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Any further closures beyond Wednesday will be decided later. School closures on Tuesday and Wednesday include district offices, extra-curricular activities, athletic practices and events and student care centers.
Jeff Davis Parish
- All Jeff Davis public schools and offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
St. Landry Parish
- St. Landry Parish schools and administrative offices will dismiss early on Tuesday. Schools will follow early dismissal schedules for bus and car riders. All schools and offices will remain closed on Wednesday. This closure also applies to all after-school activities and sports practices scheduled for these days.
- Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry scheduled for Wednesday, at the Yambilee Building is canceled.
- St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office TRIAD scheduled for Wednesday in Eunice has been canceled.
St. Martin Parish
- All St. Martin Parish schools will be released Tuesday at noon. Also, all schools will be closed for the entire day on Wednesday. All afternoon activities are canceled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
St. Mary Parish
- St. Mary Parish Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. A decision regarding school operations for Thursday will be made later.
- St. Mary Parish Expungement & Resource Clinic, scheduled for Tuesday at South Louisiana Community College's Young Memorial Campus, is canceled.
Vermilion Parish
- Vermilion Parish public schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Vermilion Charter Academy will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
