OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Police have released video of an officer-involved shooting in Bricktown.
Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, as businesses started to close for the night, someone began shooting into a crowded intersection near Sheridan Ave. and Oklahoma City Ave. Officers already on patrol heard the gunshots and responded.
Police say in all, four people, including the suspect, received non-life-threatening injuries during the shooting.
After shots were fired, the suspect ran off. After further investigation, police learned there were possibly two suspects involved.
The Oklahoma City Police Department released footage of the incident on Monday, September 9, showing the situation as it unfolded.
Officers returned fire at the first suspect, striking him once. After the first suspect ran from the scene, a second person holding a gun ran from the same area. An officer also shot at the second suspect, thinking he was the initial shooter.
Officials say as police chased after the second suspect, he eventually dropped his gun and kept running. He was taken into custody shortly after, but for a separate charge unrelated to this shooting.
The first suspect was later found and arrested on three counts of Assault With a Deadly Weapon.
