Interesting detail about Spurs 2025/26 away kit just ‘leaked’, a classic look is returning

The new season is only just underway, and fans are loving the Tottenham kits this season (unusual Nike Swoosh aside). But, the first details regarding Spurs’ next away kit have already been leaked, and it’ll bring back a classic colourway we haven’t seen in a decade.

Black and grey is back

This year, Spurs have been treated to a slightly different home kit, featuring statement navy sleeves akin to the Kappa kit of 2005/06.

For the away kit, Nike delivered a light blue strip with vintage vibes, while the green third kit has been largely well-received despite its unusual placement of the iconic Swoosh.

While fans will be sporting those shirts for the next year, the world of football and sportswear does not stand still, and it seems designs are already being drawn up for next season’s kits.

Tottenham‘s away kit for next year, or at least some details on the design, have been revealed by Footy Headlines who shared early information from Gol de Sergio.

Apparently, next year’s away kit will be “predominantly black”, with light grey details (the exact colour is cited as light iron ore).

The actual design is unknown at this stage and we will likely not see any imagery, official or otherwise, for quite some time.

Harking back to 2014/15

Many have already shared their excitement by the plans to bring back a black kit for the first time in ten years. Spurs wore a black strip, with yellow details, for their away kit in the 2014/15 season.

Going further back, in 2012/13, Tottenham’s third strip was a half-and-half black and grey design. Both of those kits were made by Under Armour. The 2011/12 third kit also deserves a mention.

I already love the idea of this black kit, and I can’t wait to see some concept designs once people get to work on imagining what it might look like. I hope there’s a little something interesting to the eventual design, something to make a statement, rather than just being a simple black kit.
