Ethnic strife escalates in Manipur due to militant involvement

Ethnic tensions in Manipur have intensified with the involvement of militants. Police reported that six people were killed in Jiribam, including three Kuki Liberation Army members and one from the Meitei outfit UNLF (P). The Manipur government is now seeking to scrap the Suspension of Operations pact with Kuki insurgent groups.
