Centre to announce new cooperative policy next 2-3 months, says Coop secretary

The new National Cooperative Policy is nearing completion and will be announced within the next 2-3 months, according to Cooperation Secretary Ashish Kumar Bhutani. A 47-member committee, led by former Union minister Suresh Prabhu, has drafted the policy. Additionally, around 65,000 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies will be computerised by February next year.
