‘I’m happy & secure’ says Laura Hamilton after loved-up pics with married man as she reveals bizarre trolling over boobs

WITH her property know-how and ultra glamorous looks, Laura Hamilton has helped make A Place In The Sun one of the most-watched programmes on Channel 4.

And since joining the hit show in 2012, the 42-year-old has become a fan favourite, attracting over 200,000 followers on Instagram, with one recent bikini snap getting more than 11,000 likes.

But the adulation hasn’t all been positive – some fans just will not believe that her glamorous looks have not had some help.

The mum-of-two, who is back on our screens for a new series of A Place In The Sun, says that while she feels better than ever after years of struggling with her body confidence, trolls just won’t let it lie.

Laura told the Sun : “It’s really hard when you read comments like, ‘Oh, she’s done too much of this to her face.’

“And I think these are my cheekbones. I’ve done nothing to my cheekbones.

“That’s my face, and unfortunately, that’s the way it is. Or people say, ‘Oh, she’s got fake boobs’. And I’m like, I haven’t, actually. But if that’s what people want to believe.”

She adds: “It’s kind of a bit laughable that people make statements and they don’t know the facts.”

Besides, she reckons as she gotten older she can handle the trolls as “the older you get, I think you generally feel more well.”

She adds: “I feel more happy in myself and secure in myself and who I am.

“You always will get criticism from somebody or their not liking you, or they’ll mention that you’ve got big boobs, or small boobs, or big legs, or fat legs, or like short legs or long legs…you can never please everybody, but the only person that you’ve got to really please and worry about is yourself.

“And as long as you’re happy with yourself, then that should really be all that matters.

“Those that are really close to me, that know me, for me, my mum and dad and children, and I’m very lucky that I’ve got a close group of very supportive friends, who accept and love each other for who we are, and they know the truth.

“And that really is the most important thing.”

The former children’s TV presenter, who had been buying and selling houses since she was 19, has previously admitted she once considered getting her 28FF boobs reduced after years of backache and being teased over her bigger bust – before changing her mind.

The star admits to taking collagen shots every day now she is in her 40s and also recently lost a stone.

She says: “I take gold collagen shots every day, and I ran the London Marathon for WellChild in April. I’d never run a marathon before. I’m not somebody that’s ever loved long distance running, to be honest, but I do love fitness. I love keeping active.

“I’ve never smoked. I have an occasional drink, and I think I lead quite a healthy lifestyle in general. Although yesterday I felt like I had a big blowout because I ate so much at a meeting and then I got home and had a dirty Indian takeaway curry. So I definitely do have times like that.”

She continues: “But since I did the London Marathon, I decided that I wanted to try and lose a stone, not much, but I think it’s all about how you feel in yourself and how your clothes fit. And I was just sort of starting to feel a bit ‘meh’.

“So I lost a stone, but I followed a programme, which is a high protein, low carb diet and that’s kind of what I’ve been doing. I’ve been eating every three hours, and it just kind of works for me.”

Laura Hamilton

Laura has two children, a son Rocco, 10, and nine-year-old daughter Tahlia, with ex-husband insurance broker Alex Goward, 43.

The presenter is believed to have been dating married CEO James Pettigrew, 44, since January.

And James, who is divorcing his wife, clearly can’t keep his hands off Laura – the pair were recently snapped kissing in the front seat of a car during a break from filming in Spain.

It is her first relationship since splitting from her husband of 10 years Alex in 2022 – with Laura admitting she is “constantly on the go” as she juggles her work commitments and juggling her children.

She has also recently bought her first property abroad – a huge renovation project.

Laura snapped up the six-bedroom townhouse in Pollensa, Mallorca on the spur of the moment.

Laura says: “I’m like that when it comes to property, I look at so many houses all the time. I’ve been renovating houses since I was 19, that when you know something’s right, you know something’s right.

“I’ve always loved Mallorca and I’ve always sort of said, if I was going to buy anywhere, personally, I would want to buy in Mallorca so that’s what I did.

“I was there filming and had an afternoon off. I’d been looking at property online, and then I went to look at a couple in person, and the second one I went in, I was just like, ‘this is it. I’m gonna snap it up.’”

Laura, who will be sharing her renovation journey on a new platform called My Renovation In The Sun, adds with a smile: “I love buying a rundown wreck and turning it into something beautiful.”

Chip off the old block

And it looks like the star might have some competition because her son is clearly a property developer in the making.

Laura explains: “Last week, my children were with me when I was filming near Barcelona and I have somebody that travels with me quite a bit.

“Her name’s Shelley, and she helps me out with the kids. I came back from filming and she said to me, ‘you will not believe what Rocco has said this afternoon. He was talking about what he’s going to do in the future.’

“And she said his idea was genius. He plans to set up a water sports centre on the beach, but he wouldn’t have money initially, so he’d have to sleep on the beach until he made money from his job.

“And then once he’d make money from his job, he would buy an apartment that was run down, and then he would do the work to it. He would try and do as much of it himself as he could, try and save some money, and then he’d sell it.

“She said, ‘He is your son. He is listening to you talking about renovating this and that.’ I guess the kids do pick up things.”
