Oliver Tompkins, presenter of the Car Chat TV YouTube channel has revealed all in a popular video, with many owning the vehicle being none the wiser to the storage space.

Ford fanatics may be pleased to hear that the Puma model holds a compartment under the boot floor lid, or as Oliver describes “the Megabox”.

Oliver added: “You can stand things in there that are 115cm tall.

“I believe it is 456-litres of boot space, it’s slightly under 500 but anyway, now you’ve seen the Megabox.”

Before racing out to check if their car contains the added hold, owners of the Ford Puma’s Megabox will want to know that the space is accessible via a door in the floor of the standard boot.

This means that the compact crossover gains an extra 80 litres of luggage capacity for those who were unaware of the store.

The Megabox is particularly perfect for drivers hoping to hide their valuables away from prying eyes when they leave their vehicle unattended.

Whilst the space could also be used to store dirty items due to its waterproof and drainage holes making it easy to clean.

The video was posted at the end of last year and has 3,683 views.

Oliver asks those watching if they have “seen the Megabox?” as he reveals the find in a blue Ford Puma stationed in front of the camera.

The Ford Puma has already claimed the hearts of many motorheads with the make featuring as the best selling car in Britain last year.

In July, The Sun estimated that the make retained this top spot.

It comes after Jamie Oliver revealed he would be selling three retro motors including his beloved Ford Capri.

The ford has a 3-litre V6 engine capable of cooking up 130bhp.
