'Everything that is un-American': Ex-GOP strategist gives blistering rebuke to Trump
A former senior Republican congressional advisor is warning about the dangers of Donald Trump's return to the White House.
In a discussion about the impact of Republicans supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, Rina Shah referenced the recent endorsement of the Democratic Party's candidate from former Vice President Dick Cheney.
"So, I am absolutely for the Cheneys and any other Republican out there saying we are with Harris, but we are with Harris because we feel as if this is the most consequential election of our time," she said.

"We let Donald Trump back in the White House; you open up the gate to everything that is un-American, revenge against enemies, the classification of certain people," Shah continued.
She specifically recalled the "Muslim ban," an executive order that Trump ushered in when entering office in 2017 that barred people from majority Muslim countries coming into the U.S.
"So, while we can talk facts all we want, we need to talk about changing some hearts and minds where it matters," said Shah. "The feelings are what is casting this shred of doubt about Harris being successful and casting sort of this gray cloud over this election."
And she said former Republicans who now back Harris are worried that Trump continues to stand up against Harris in the polls.
"And, look, [polls are] taken with a grain of salt, yes," Shah gave as a caveat. "But we should all be very scared about what our fellow Americans are buying. A ton of misinformation and disinformation, and every single person has to be part of pushing back on that."
