But a savvy laundry expert has shared some savvy hacks to speed up the process without even getting the ironing board out.

AO.com’s laundry expert, Gwil Snook, revealed four ways to get through trousers, shirts and blazers in no time at all.

Avoid Overcrowding

While shirts, trousers and other items that crease should be hung up to prevent them creasing – there’s one mistake defeating the point we all make.

The laundry expert revealed that overcrowding the wardrobe will make your clothes crease again even if you’ve already ironed them.

After washing and drying clothes, make sure there is enough space in the wardrobe between items when you hang them up to prevent this.

Damp Cloth

Gwil told the Express: “When using a tumble dryer, try adding a damp cloth during the last 10 minutes of the cycle.

“This softens the fabric and helps loosen any remaining wrinkles.

“Another trick is to toss in a tennis ball, which helps clothes dry faster and reduces wrinkling by moving air around the dryer.”

DIY Spray

If you’re in a morning rush to get to school and forgot to iron the uniform this trick will save you and your sanity.

Gwil recommends making your own anti-crease spray using just two ingredients you already have at home.

Mix one part water to one part fabric softener in a spray bottle and give it a mix.

You can then spray this onto the clothes ‘to help relax the fabric so wrinkles simply drop out once you hang them up,’ says the laundry pro.

Getting Steamy

Many people prefer a steamer over an iron for last minute de-creasing.

But if you don’t have one then there’s a simple hack that can be done while you go about your normal morning routine.

Cleaning hacks and tips

Here are some tips to help you clean your home like a pro:

Instead, you can hang the items in the bathroom while taking a hot shower. The steam will help release the wrinkles.

Eric Mendes, co-founder of Laundry Turtle, shared the best ways to dry your clothes with The U.S. Sun.

“To dry clothes faster, consider using dryer balls to separate items and increase airflow,” he said.

“Additionally, spinning clothes at a higher speed in the washer can remove more water, reducing drying time,” he continued.

“For air drying, placing clothes in a well-ventilated area with good air circulation can significantly speed up the process.”
