Monks in court again without a lawyer
The three monks embroiled in a financial and sex scandal appeared before the Ecclesiastical Court on Monday, again without a lawyer representing them during proceedings.
Lawyer Andreas Vavouskos was denied entry but told journalists the monks submitted 24 objections.
They have included the Archbishop and Morphou bishop as defence witnesses.
The three monks face charges including ‘unethical acts’ after videos emerged depicting sexual acts unfolding at the Osiou Avakoum monastery, as well as financial scandals.
