0

Jamie Lee Curtis (“The Bear”) won her first ever Emmy Award for Best Comedy Guest Actress at Sunday night’s Creative Arts ceremony in downtown Los Angeles. The Oscar winner from “Everything Everywhere All at Once” had been nominated once before at the Emmys in 1998 for “Nicholas’ Gift.” She was also a Gold Derby TV Awards winner in the same category a few weeks ago.

She defeated Olivia Colman (“The Bear”), Kaitlin Olson (“Hacks”), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“Only Murders in the Building”), Maya Rudolph (“Saturday Night Live”) and Kristen Wiig (“Saturday Night Live”). According to Gold Derby odds, she was in first place at 82/25 odds ahead of Olson to prevail in this guest star category.

For the FX comedy series, she played Donna Berzatto, the mother of Jeremy Allen White‘s Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto. Her character appeared in the second season episode “Fishes.”
