Elizabeth Olsen Brings Balletcore to the Streets of New York in Blush Pink Prada Mary Jane Flats
Elizabeth Olsen was spotted in New York earlier this week in a dreamy pastel pink ensemble.
In a cross between a Mary Jane and ballet flat, the “WandaVision” star sported a pair of Prada babies in pastel pink. Retailing for $1,050, the leather lambskin silhouette featured pastel pink “Ninfea” uppers, gold logo accents, adjustable buckle closures, Mary Jane-inspired straps that sat overtop Olsen’s feet and non-slip rubber outsoles.
Almond-shaped toes and ultra-short 0.17-inch block heels rounded out the set, imparting a sleekness and subtle lift respectively. If pink isn’t your thing, the Prada hybrid silhouette also comes in a black “Nero” shade.
Louis Vuitton, Jeffery Campbell, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch and The Row offer similar silhouettes to Olsen’s own. Ballet flats have risen in popularity and are a favorite of many celebrities including Katie Holmes, Amy Winehouse, Rihanna, Meghan Markle and Hailey Bieber, just to name a few. Little sister to Prada, Miu Miu has also offered prospective buyers a slew of unique ballet flat styles that have become exceedingly popular within the past few years.
Accompanying her “Balletcore” footwear pick, the “Avengers: Endgame” star donned a matching blush pink silky paisley-printed set. The ensemble featured a collared blouse with pink buttons and a coordinating pleated maxi skirt. As for accessories, Olsen sported sunglasses with thick black frames with black shaded lenses.
Olsen’s footwear choices are often contemporary and streamlined within her fashion journey with stylist Elizabeth Stewart. On the red carpet, the “Kodachrome” actress can frequently be seen in pointed-toe pumps in a range of neutral and jewel-toned hues by Dior, Sophia Webster and Le Silla. Olsen’s also been seen in sleek sandals from Stuart Weitzman, Jimmy Choo and Miu Miu as well. Aside from sharp heels, she can be spotted in Khaite sandals, Alice sneakers and Tod’s loafers when off-duty.
