Germany arrives in Budapest for Chess Olympiad 2024
Team Germany is 8th seeded in the open section of the Chess Olympiad. Board 1 is for Vincent Keymer and his teammates are Dmitrij Kollars, Matthias Bluebaum, Frederik Svane, Alexander Donchenko. The team is now on the way to Budapest and Frederik Svane shared a photo from the airport.
In the women section team Germany is ranked 9th and consists of Elisabeth Paehtz, Dinara Wagner, Josefine Heinemann, Hanna Marie Klek, Lara Schulze. While the men are still on their way to Budapest, the women have already acclimatized. “I go jogging every day,” says Josefine Heinemann. In addition to recreational activities, training with national coach Yuri Yakovich is also on the daily program.
