SCSO: Malta woman arrested on assault, weapon charges

MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office arrested a Malta woman and charged her with assault and weapon possession on Friday. Deputies said Carmela DiCicco, 43, allegedly used a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument to injure another person.

Deputies responded to Conifer Drive around 1:34 p.m. for a fight in progress. Through an investigation, deputies said DiCicco was accused of intentionally using a weapon to hurt someone.

DiCicco was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned in Malta Town Court and released pending further action.
