MHA working on nationwide disaster alert plan on phones

The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Department of Telecommunication are collaborating to implement a Cell Broadcasting Solution across India. This system will alert mobile users with a sound during natural disasters, ensuring timely dissemination of critical information. Tests were conducted in Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry last year.
