Inspiring stories told through a female lens

An upcoming event puts women front and centre (stage). The inaugural TEDxMolos Women on September 26 in Limassol will bring together an eclectic group of inspirational women to share their stories with audiences of all ages, genders and backgrounds. Six speakers are set to take the floor, the whole event will take place in English, ready to motivate listeners in a variety of areas.

The speakers’ talks will cover a range of subjects, from entrepreneurship and sustainability to fintech, leadership, art and business. All through the lens of the female experience.

“As global dynamics evolve,” say event organisers, “we are witnessing a lot of transformation led by women. They bring fresh perspectives and innovative leadership across all sectors. Their soft power helps bring positive change and foster collaboration. Thanks to them, we are building a more compassionate local and global community.”

Soft Power is the theme of the September event, aiming to pave the way towards a “new era of leadership”. Through the speakers’ talks, TEDxMolos Women will highlight the significant impact that subtle influence, empathy and collaboration can have.

“Women play a crucial role in driving today’s changes, harnessing their unique soft power to bring people together and inspire extraordinary results,” they say. “Our speakers, local women from diverse fields, are at the forefront of this movement, leading change and fostering our society in Cyprus.”

The event at Plevsis Hall (old Port) will kick off at 6.30pm with a light networking session and welcome speeches by the organisers. The first three TEDx talks will begin at 7.10pm and last an hour, before a wine and music break. The following three talks will continue at 8.30pm before the night concludes with a cocktail.

Taking the stage will be Farah Shammas (hospitality leader, sustainability advocate, vegan lifestyle champion), Alena Perminova, (serial entrepreneur, sextech and welltech expert, certified yoga teacher), Dr Mikaela Milicuri, (art advisor, collector psychology expert, academic bridging art and business), Memnia Papadopoulou, (legal innovator, fintech expert, educational visionary), Sandra Da Silva, (corporate wellbeing advocate, emotional intelligence trainer, life coach) and Donna Stephenson, (talent acquisition leader, HR innovator, champion for equitable leadership).
