Inside Slow Horses star Gary Oldman’s life – from four failed marriages to famous soap star sister
GARY Oldman’s life off screen is just as eventful as the roles he plays in front of the camera.
The acclaimed actor has returned to the small screen for the fourth series of Slow Horses.
But away from the Apple TV show, he’s played Sirius Black in the Harry Potter franchise.
Gary, 66, has also played Winston Churchill in the Darkest Hour as well as James Cordon in Christoper Nolan’s Batman Begins.
Over his four-decade career Gary has received a number of Oscar nominations and scooped a gong in 2017 for his role in the Darkest Hour.
Fame and talent runs in the family as Gary’s older sister Laila Morse – who plays Mo Harris.
The pair regular update fans on their outings, including an incredible Las Vegas trip with a private plane, proving just how close they are.
Gary previously opened up on his previous burnout, which led to him drinking.
The star was once held overnight at an Los Angles police station after being addressed on suspicion of drink driving.
Gary later checked into a rehab for his alcoholism.
The actor has had a number of marriages, with the star tying the knot to his first love, actress Lesley Manville in 1987 – before they divorced three years later.
He walked down the aisle a second time in 1990 and wed Pulp Fiction star Umas Thurman but sadly they split just two years later.
In the late 90s Gary married again, this time to Donya Fiorentino, having met at an Alcoholic’s Anonymous meeting.
But unfortunately it wasn’t to be and the pair went their separate ways four years later.
In 2008, Gary got hitched again to Alexandra Edenborough but once again it ended seven years later.
He said ‘I do’ one final time in 2017 to writer Gisele Schmidt and the couple have remained loved up ever since.
