How much Money Players earn by Playing Duleep Trophy? Explained

The Indian domestic session is ongoing with the Duleep Trophy 2024 being played right now. This tournament is more special than other editions of the tournament as some of the biggest players of team India are currently playing for four different teams.

This is going to act as a preparation for some players before the Test season for Indian team, along with turning out to be a great place for selectors to hunt new talent. The players are also in benefit due to the recently certified wage structure of BCCI.

Even though exact amount player wages for Duleep Trophy has not been disclosed, the prize money has hiked significantly since 2023. The earlier prize money was Rs 50 lakh, the new structure will see the winners bag a massive amount of Rs 1 crore, along with the runners-up getting Rs 50 lakh.

According to the new structure in domestic cricket, the players who have 41 or more Ranji Trophy caps will earn Rs 60,000 per match day.

Players with 21-40 appearances get Rs 50,000 per match day, and players with 20 or less appearances will earn Rs 40,000 per match day.

According to the above mentioned amounts, the players who are currently playing in the Duleep Trophy are earning the same amount of money based how they earned during their Ranji Trophy appearance.
