21 cities under NCAP cut PM10 pollution by over 40% since 2017-18, shows CPCB data
Ninety-five out of 131 cities under India's National Clean Air Programme have improved air quality, with 21 cities reducing PM10 pollution by over 40% since 2017-18. Only 18 cities met the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for PM10. The Union environment ministry awarded top-performing cities during the Swachh Vayu Survekshan - 2024 event in Jaipur.
