11th annual Touch-a-Truck comes to downtown Topeka

0

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Families packed into Downtown Topeka Saturday, September 7, for an experience unlike any other.

Touch-a-truck brought people from all across Northeast Kansas and invited them to get up close and personal with the big rigs.

From fire trucks to cranes and more, Evergy Plaza was filled with an impressive lineup of trucks.

We spoke with one K-DOT operator who was excited to see the reaction from the kids.

"We talk to hundreds of kids and get them all up in there. We at least want them to get up there," David, recruitment lead at K-DOT said. "And they are smiling, honking the horn. And you know, it's just one good memory."

Touch-a-Truck has brought people together for this free event for the past 11 years and are looking forward to many more.
