Motorcyclists collide in Battle Ground, one dies

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Two motorcyclists collided in the early hours of Saturday, leaving one dead and the other seriously injured, Battle Ground police said.

The crash at the intersection of SE Eaton Boulevard and 17th Avenue happened around 12:35 a.m. when one of the motorcyclists turned in front of the other.

Investigators said it's unknown at this time what factors led to the crash, which is the first traffic fatality in Battle Ground in 2024.

The names of those involved have not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing.
