Rishabh Pant Sends Heartfelt Message to Purani Dilli 6 Ahead of DPL 2024 Semi-Finals

The redemption of Purani Dilli 6 in the ongoing Delhi Premier League is being witnessed today at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, something that Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is pleased of. Pant is happy to see the squad go to the semi-finals. Pant captained Purani Dilli 6 in the first game.

In the second DPL semi-final on Saturday, Purani Dilli 6 and South Delhi Superstarz will square off. Purani Dilli 6’s experience in the DPL has been incredible. The group has proven to be resilient and determined, as evidenced by their consecutive victories that sent them to the semi-finals after suffering hard losses in close games.

Pant gave the guys a ton of appreciation and gave the Purani Dilli 6 team a heartfelt message. “Let me start by expressing my pride in each and every one of you for the way Purani Dilli 6 performed during this competition. I’ve been actively following the adventure since it began, and it’s been amazing. You’ve demonstrated incredible tenacity, spirit, and cooperation,” Pant stated, as cited in the DPL press announcement.

Pant, who is currently competing for the Duleep Trophy, believes Purani Dilli 6 would perform admirably in the semifinals. “I regret not being able to attend the semi-finals; but, my duties with the Duleep Trophy have prevented me from being present. Nevertheless, Pant wrote in a letter to the Purani Dilli 6 crew, “I have complete faith in you all and I’m confident that you’ll continue to give your best out there.”

“Play with heart, trust yourselves, and stick together like the family we are and will be in a long run. Let’s make it count. I’ll be cheering for you every step of the way. Let’s do this Purani Delhi,” he added.

Owner of Purani Dilli 6, Aakash Nangia, stated: “If the DDCA approves, we can continue to sign big-name players. Our team has been growing and succeeding under Rishabh’s leadership, thus we would like to keep him around for a long time.”

Veteran Indian pacer Ishant Sharma gave his colleagues words of support earlier this week, telling them to remain focused and keep playing with the same fervor and solidarity that have carried them this far.

“Just keep on doing things and forget who is in front of you. Play with your heart and focus on every little things that will eventually result in making you the winner,” said Ishant in a statement as quoted by the DPL release.
