The skincare pro revealed: “We need to talk about stretch marks.

“I was nine months pregnant and I did not have a single stretch mark.

“Partly because I kind of had, like, all the inside knowledge about what it is that I should be doing.”

She added that stretch marks are often based on genetics but her skincare routine can help stop them all together or reduce them/

“Genetics do play a big role, my mum got a lot of stretch marks but I didn’t get any, so I defo think starting early and using this routine helped,” the Dr added.

The beauty pro said you need to start using hyaluronic acid on your stomach as soon as you find out your pregnant.

She advised using it on damp skin as the hyaluronic acid absorbs into the skin much deeper by doing this.

You can buy it for less than £10 from The Ordinary for £8.80 which has over 9,000 reviews and an average of 4.5 stars out of 5.

Dr Adel suggested using a moisturiser after – specifically one with Centella Asciatica in the formula.

This herb has strong anti-inflammatory properties, making it effective for soothing and calming irritated or inflamed skin – so it also reduces the appearance of stretch marks.

Last but not least, she said the final step was to apply some sort of body oil to lock it all in.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @aamnaadel has since gone viral with over 226k views and 20k likes.

People thanked the dermatologist for the tips but also reminded women it was perfectly natural and okay to get stretch marks.

One person wrote: “I did this exact routine and zero stretch marks!”

The importance of sun cream in your skincare routine

Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez - known as Dr Dray - revealed why you should wear suncream.

The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this matters for all ages – is protecting your skin from the sun, Andrea stressed.

“The vast majority of external aging is due to exposure to ultraviolet radiation,” she continued, not because you’re “not using some jazzy serum or layering 90 different things on your face everyday”.

“If you’re not doing in your 20s, get on that now.”

But she said the use of sun cream alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing like broad-brimmed hats and long sleeves, on top of not staying out too long in the sun.

Doing this over your lifetime – and all year, not just during the summer or on sunny days – “will reduce the visible signs of photoageing”, Andrea said.

Those are wrinkles, muddled pigmentation and sagging skin.

Another commented: “Thank you!”

“Am I pregnant? No? Am I taking notes on this video? Yes,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Can I just say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with stretch marks if you do get them! They are normal and growing a human tough itself without having to stress about stretch marks.”

“You could do all those things perfectly from day one, but it won’t stop the stretch marks from hitting you if it’s in your genes,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “And if you do/did get stretch marks it matters diddly squat! Have a great day.”
