Assam to enforce strict Aadhaar verification from October 1

Assam will implement a stringent Aadhaar verification process from October 1 due to concerns over suspected foreign nationals obtaining Aadhaar cards. Applicants must provide their NRC application number. The state government aims to address illegal infiltration and ensure only eligible residents receive Aadhaar cards, with a new SoP to be issued soon.
