New Delhi: India batter Riyan Parag took to Instagram and posted a story on Friday, September 6. He was joined by teammates, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel. The three are presently playing in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India B in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

While Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel are with Team A, representing them in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match on Day 2, Yashasvi Jaiswal is representing Team B; all three are in the same IPL team, Rajasthan Royals. A day after Day 2 of the match, Riyan shared a photo of himself with Jaiswal and Jurel as they took a ride in an auto, captioning it: “blurry snaps but pure bonds.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal made his debut for the Indian team in both Test and T20 formats. So far, he has appeared in nine Tests, amassing 1,028 runs at an average of 68.53, including three centuries. He has also appeared in 23 T20Is, scoring 723 runs.

Wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel made his debut for India earlier this year during Test series against England at home. He gathered 190 runs in three Tests, at an average of 63.33. Jurel made his T20I debut along with Riyan Parag in a T20I game against Zimbabwe in July. Parag later made his first ODI appearance against Sri Lanka.

India B had been bowled out for 321 runs in Day 2 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 match. Musheer Khan was brilliant as he struck 181 off 373 balls, laced with 16 boundaries and five sixes. The other main contributor for India B was Navdeep Saini, who chipped in with 56 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal chipped in for India B with 30 off 59 balls. Akash Deep was the main bowler for India A as he accounted for four scalps.

In response, India A openers Mayank Agarwal (36) and Shubman Gill (25) forged a 57-run partnership before both fell in quick succession to Navdeep Saini.

At the end of the day’s play, India A were 134-2 after 35 overs, with KL Rahul (23*) and Riyan Parag at the crease. Parag, batting at No. 3, was unbeaten on 27 off 49 balls, including four boundaries.
