The microness continues

Hello Friends,

The perfect wind and weather conditions roll on. But not the waves. Once again the best spots are delivering wave faces in the knee to waist-ish range every now and then. So, it’s a great day for an exercise paddle, but not much else.

Sadly the outlook for the next few days is not very exciting. The models are telling us that we might have a slight upward tick Tues-Weds thanks to an increase in the average period (but swell at sea is still predicted to be in the sub-metre range). The most hopeful predictions are showing a little south pulse in the 1-2 metre range for a few days starting on Saturday..

So it goes. The good days will come again!

Weather Situation

A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge towards the state’s northeast, while a trough extends from the northwest to the central east of the state, with an associated front brushing the southeast of the state. The trough is forecast to move northwards during today, with south to southeasterly winds in its wake, reaching the north coast later today and weakening before being reinforced by another trough on Sunday. Then the trough system will stall about the far north coast while a ridge of high pressure extends across the state early next week.
