‘Fur baby’ runway show held at New York Fashion Week – with dogs in designer clothes by Tommy Hilfiger and Nicole Miller

ANIMAL lovers united for a good cause as they enjoyed a star-studded New York Fashion Week event that showcased dogs decked out in designer duds.

Fashion and philanthropy blended in a charitable show where poised models and pups strutted down the catwalk wearing designer looks from Nicole Miller, Tommy Hilfiger, and other notable brands.

Elysian’s CatWalk FurBaby: Every Dog Has a Purpose event took center stage at New York Fashion Week for the second time on Thursday.

The presentations were held at Sony Hall during Runway 7’s Spring/Summer 2025 show.

Several stars were in the crowd, including White Lotus star Alexandra Daddario and supermodel Carol Alt.

Models and dogs alike were dressed in striking looks by notable designers.

The lineup included Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole MillerCanine Cashmere, D’Marsh Couture, Queen of Sparkles, Brooke Wilder, Any Old Iron, Salacious Fruit, and Caryna Nina.

Hilfiger’s goddaughter Chloe Jane joined fellow models Rachel Donahue, Gia Skova, Tatum Mogck, and Jamie Odom on the catwalk.

Project Runway’s Johnathan Kayne also made an appearance on the runway after providing red-carpet-worthy looks for the presentation.

“Godmother of fashion” Fern Mallis, who is hailed as the creator of New York Fashion Week as we know it, served as the emcee.

Animal influencers Charlie the Love Chug, Jam Jar the Skunk, and Frank the Raccoon were all featured during the production.

They supported animal welfare while walking alongside their pets.

Some of the looks were themed and had unique details, including neon fabric and angel wings.

There was even a Top Gun-inspired outfit.

The CatWalk FurBaby event supports charities across five areas: women, children, pets, public service, and the environment.

It featured approximately 20 teams made up of models, designers, and influencers paired with charitable organizations.

Texas’ Operation Kindness, New York City’s Rescue Dogs Rock, and the American Red Cross were among the nonprofits that participated.

To add a bit of lightheartedness to the festivities, the teams walked the runway together to compete for one of three cash prizes.

The groups had the opportunity to win People’s Choice, Publisher’s Pick, and Judges’ Choice, awarded by a panel of judges.

WINNER’S CIRCLE

Nicole Miller and Canine Cashmere won the Judge’s Pick category alongside foster-based non-profit NYC Second Chance Rescue and model Rachel Donahue.

The People’s Choice winner was team Louisiana, which consisted of the Companion Animal Alliance animal shelter, the clothing brand Queen of Sparkles, and designer Jaime Glas Odom.

Texas clinched the Publisher’s Pick with a team consisting of Operation Kindness, NYC-based lifestyle brand D’Marsh Couture, its designer Glenroy March, and Russian model Gia Skova.

Descendant of railroad tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin was on the distinguished selection committee.
