Second arrest made in Beacon murder investigation
BEACON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Beacon Police Department reported that a second arrest has been made in a multi-year homicide investigation. Khyree Pratt, 23, of Philadelphia, was charged with first-degree murder.
Pratt is accused of intentionally causing the death of Lionel Pittman near Forrestal Heights in 2022. At the time of his arrest, Pratt was an inmate at a federal correctional institution outside of New York.
Beacon Police transported Pratt back to Beacon on Thursday to be processed before remanding him to the Dutchess County Jail. Another suspect, Naije Perrette, 24, of Beacon, was arrested in connection to Pittman's death back on June 11 during a traffic stop on Fishkill Avenue.
Perrette was charged with second-degree murder and was also remanded to the Dutchess County Jail after being arraigned. The longstanding investigation remains ongoing.
