One of the best wide receivers in college football will be featured when Trayvon Rudolph and the Northern Illinois Huskies (1-0) visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (1-0) on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The Fighting Irish played the Texas A&M Aggies in their most recent outing, winning 23-13. The Huskies are coming off of a 54-15 win over the Western Illinois Leathernecks. Riley Leonard threw for 158 yards, with no touchdowns and no interceptions on 18-of-30 passing (60.0%) for the Irish in that matchup against the Aggies. He also added 12 carries for 63 yards. Jeremiyah Love totaled 91 rushing yards on 14 carries (6.5 yards per carry), scoring one touchdown on the ground. He added one catch for three yards. Beaux Collins led the receiving charge against the Aggies, catching five passes for 62 yards. Ethan Hampton’s performance for the Huskies against the Leathernecks included 18-of-20 passing for 328 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. Antario Brown carried the ball eight times for 69 yards. He caught two passes for 45 yards. Rudolph caught four passes for 104 yards (26.0 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown. He also ran the ball two times for 67 yards and one touchdown.
