'Irrelevant RINO!' Trump throws fit over Dick Cheney endorsement of Kamala Harris

Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Friday evening to rage against former Vice President Dick Cheney, for his historic endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.

"Dick Cheney is an irrelevant RINO [Republican In Name Only], along with his daughter, who lost by the largest margin in the History of Congressional Races!" said Trump. "They couldn’t get Scooter Libby, who did so much for them (but was so unfairly treated!), PARDONED. I did it! He’s the King of Endless, Nonsensical Wars, wasting Lives and Trillions of Dollars, just like Comrade Kamala Harris. I am the Peace President, and only I will stop World War III!"

"What Liz Cheney did with the Unselect Committee of Political Losers is unthinkable. She and her Unselects deleted and destroyed all evidence and information - IT’S GONE. Much of it proved that Nancy Pelosi was responsible for J6 - DIDN’T PROVIDE SECURITY. Cheney and the others should be prosecuted for what they did, but Comrade Kamala is even worse!" Trump continued.

The idea that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was responsible for the lack of security on January 6 has been repeatedly debunked; it was in fact Trump who refused to deploy the National Guard to protect the Capitol, and former Vice President Mike Pence had to circumvent the chain of command to get them to help.

Dick Cheney, a deeply conservative and controversial figure in the George W. Bush administration, has gradually turned against the Republican Party he once helped lead, partly because of Trump's rejection of America-led foreign policy, but also out of horror at Trump trying to overturn the 2020 election results and inciting a riot attack on Congress.

His daughter Liz Cheney, who previously headed the House Republican Conference but was stripped of power and later denied renomination to her seat after she joined with Democrats to investigate January 6, has similarly backed Harris for president and is even endorsing Democrats down the ballot, including Colin Allred in the Texas Senate race.
