Lake Charles man accused of rape of pre-teen girl
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A Lake Charles man is charged with raping a relative who is under the age of 13, authorities said.
Andrew A. Taraba, 32, of Lake Charles, is charged with first degree rape of a victim under 13 and sexual battery of a victim under 13.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched Thursday to a home in Lake Charles in reference to a missing juvenile. Deputies learned of the girl’s location, at which time they were advised her family member, Taraba, has possibly been sexually abusing her.
When detectives spoke with Taraba about the allegations, he confirmed he was sexually abusing the victim, officials said.
Taraba was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. His bond is set at $800,000.
