I’ve never cut my hair – it’s just how I was raised, I wash it once a week but one bottle of shampoo only lasts a month

A REAL-LIFE Rapunzel is blowing up the internet after revealing she’s never once had her hair cut.

Mandy Bowen takes great pride in her lengthy locks, but she does go through quite a bit of shampoo.

The 27-year-old pastor’s wife has taken the web by storm after revealing that she has never had so much as a trim in her entire life.

In an age where regular trims and salon visits are the norm, Mandy proudly flaunts her waist-length locks, crediting her upbringing for her decision.

Her locks now fall to the lower part of her back, with social media fans making the comparison to Disney character Rapunzel — something she’s called the “best compliment ever.”

“I am 27 years old and I have never cut my hair,” she said.

“I’ve never trimmed my ends. Not even as a kid, that’s how I was raised.

“I absolutely love my hair, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.”

However, social media users have protested that if she’s never cut it at all, her hair should be even longer.

According to the stay-at-home mom who lives in Smithville, Mississippi, not cutting it herself doesn’t mean it doesn’t get a natural trim.

She said once her hair reaches its “terminal hair length,” the ends will split and fall off on their own.

“Everyone’s hair grows differently. Hormones play a big part in it as well,” she told TikTok followers.

It also endures a bit of heat damage.

“I curl my hair a lot and it burns the ends off most of the time,” she added.

Mandy also said that she lost some hair after the birth of each of her three children.

Surprisingly, she doesn’t splash out a load of cash on shampoo.

She explained that she has trained her mane to only need a wash once every seven to nine days.

But even though she’s not washing that often, when she does, it takes quite a bit of product.

One bottle of shampoo will usually give her approximately four washes.

“It doesn’t really get oily, so that helps out a lot,” she said.

Though she said she doesn’t have any “breakthrough method or products” for keeping it healthy, she does use conditioner with every wash, as well as a hydrating, frizz-control serum.

Mandy likes that she’s kept up the tradition her parents started.

“I’ve carried it on into adulthood and I think it’s so stinking neat that I’ve had this hair, the same hair since I was a kid,” she said.

She did, however, admit that there’s a downside when it comes to styling it.

“My arms get so tired!” she said.

To keep her hair as healthy as possible, she uses a conditioner as well as a frizz-taming serum to keep her tresses under control
