More Samsung owners receive latest free upgrade with ‘most useful feature ever’ for searches – check full list of phones

SAMSUNG has revealed that some new features will land on people’s phones next week as the company continues to expand availability to older devices.

A number of tools introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 handset launches in July will now be coming to other handsets.

The Galaxy S24 series is first today but others will follow from in the coming weeks, Samsung says.

Among the latest additions is a lot of AI-power to improve your texts and calls.

The Interpreter tool offers real-time language translation even if you’re offline – provided you’ve downloaded the specific language pack before.

Meanwhile, Chat Assist will help you write messages in the right tone, whether it’s for a text message or an email, adapting what you’ve written into different tones, for example, making it sound more professional.

Note Assist generates a nice simple summary of long conversations like meetings along with a transcript available to read the entire thing back and check details if needed.

PDF Overlay Translation can translate and overlay text in PDF files or even translate text in images and graphs.

Meanwhile, Sketch to Image will turn your rough doodles into proper images.

Use your finger to draw a stick figure, such as a dog, and the AI will generate options.

These can be added onto existing images instantly.

But one of the best enhancement to come is with Circle to Search.

Many users have already described Circle to Search the “most useful feature ever”.

Circle any object on your screen with your finger and it will Google search it.

This could be a handbag you see in the background of a photo on a website for example.

It can even calculate complex maths problems when circled too.

More recently, Google enhanced the feature with the ability to identify songs too, whether they’re playing in an app or around you.
