Labour ministry urges states to fast-track integration of data with e-Shram portal

In a regional meeting in Chandigarh on Friday, Shobha Karandlaje, minister of state for labour and employment said the government aims to provide comprehensive social protection coverage from “cradle to grave” for the unorganized workers and their dependents at par with organized workers and it will work with states and UTs for strengthening and expanding services and benefits of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) to all districts in the nation.
