Anuj Rawat Shines in Delhi Premier League, Thanks to Virat Kohli’s Game-Changing Advice
Anuj Rawat of the East Delhi Riders has been hitting well at the bat in the Delhi Premier League thanks to guidance from Virat Kohli to be consistent with his preparations. Rawat made this revelation on Friday.
In eight innings, Rawat—who trains with Kohli at Royal Challengers Bengaluru—has amassed 328 runs.
“I had a question for him regarding the match. “No matter what the circumstances in the game are, just keep your preparations consistent,” he said to me. It benefits your mental health. In an exclusive interview with PTI Videos, Rawat said, “This advice has definitely helped me so far.”
The left-handed Rawat also recorded the second-highest opening partnership in T20 cricket history in the DPL’s first season, scoring 241 runs for the Riders against Purani Dilli 6. 121 came from Rawat (66 balls, 11x6s, 6x4s).
When Delhi’s domestic season kicks off, older players will be responsible for keeping the dressing room atmosphere intact, according to Rawat.
“There’s a lot of energy, and we’ve performed together before.” Everyone on the team will perform better since the elder players will try to keep things lighthearted,” he stated.
Before the next IPL, there will be a massive auction, and Rawat claimed he has adjusted his game accordingly to be prepared for the difficulties.
“A player may have one or two games that just don’t work out, but after that, you start to get that rhythm like I did in the beginning,” he remarked.
“I want to win as many games as I can for my team and I’ll definitely try to maintain the start that I get from next year,” Rawat continued.
