Boy, 15, accused of bringing knife to high school on Long Island: SCPD

LAKE RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two 15-year-old boys were arrested on Thursday after one brought a knife to a Long Island school, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

One of the teenagers is accused of boarding a school bus with the knife, per police. Staff members took the knife as the teen exited the bus at Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma, according to authorities.

Police discovered the teen with the knife was previously threatened by another boy, also age 15, back in July. One of the teenagers was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, while the other was charged with aggravated harassment.

Both teens were released into the custody of their parents. They will be arraigned in Family Court at a later date, according to authorities.
