‘He would be phenomenal’ – The four horses to follow from Willie Mullins’ yard according to trainer’s right-hand man
A HUGELY promising French recruit bought for £235,000 is the pick of the new horses at Willie Mullins’ yard, according to his right-hand man.
Trusted lieutenant David Casey loves the look of four-year-old gelding Kiss Will, who Mullins picked up in September last year.
Kiss Will has raced just once, finishing second in a Fontainebleau bumper over 1m5f to subsequent Grade 1 bumper runner-up Kaleo Jim.

He’s currently not priced up for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham, which would probably be his most likely destination.
But Casey likes the look of what he has seen from his work at home.
Speaking to BoyleSports, who will be offering the latest Leopardstown Winter Festival odds later this year, Casey said: “We have a few more young French horses coming through.
“I like the look of Kiss Will, he looks a nice horse.”
Casey also reckons the all-conquering Ballyburn will be ‘phenomenal’ over fences.
Last season’s Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle winner is currently favourite for the Arkle, Turners and Brown Advisory and is the horse to beat wherever he goes.
His most likely destination at the moment, according to bookmakers, is the Turners Novices’ Chase over two-and-a-half miles.
Casey said: “There’s Ballyburn, who I’d love to see go chasing – he would be phenomenal.”
Champion Bumper winner Jasmin De Vaux is reported to be in rude health after a summer’s break too.
While awesome Mares’ Hurdle winner Lossiemouth could contest a Champion Hurdle for the ages against a fit-again Constitution Hill and State Man.
Casey added: “We get into overdrive from the end of November/start of December around John Durkan weekend.
“We then like to have some nice horses out around Christmas.
“We have a lot of nice new young horses in the yard. All our geese are swans at the moment. They are all champions… but we haven’t tested them yet!
“You hope you’re going to get a couple of stars out of it. We know they won’t all be. If we get a couple that would be great.
“You buy all these horses expecting or at least hoping they’ll be champions but only a few turn into swans. At the moment they are all winners because they haven’t run yet!”
